One of the many perks sharing suite with the Swiss guys.
April Music is exhibiting our Coltrane 2s with their stuff.
Getz/Gilberto – The Girl from Ipanema. A vinyl classic that soothes our souls after busy day 🙂
The show finally started and there’s been loads of visitors today. We’re sharing room with Nagra again this time, just like in Munich.
Here’s Leif, doing the fine tuning.
The new Coltrane Tenor sound awesome together with Nagra’s electronics and Jorma Design’s cables.
We also have a few pairs of speaker scattered across CES but we’ll chat about that later.
Cheers
The view from our room at the Venetian Las Vegas.
Yes, we’re here yet again for high end audio, fun and of course lots of music. Please come and see us in room 29229 if you’re in the area. The show starts on Tuesday but our room is almost ready so maybe we have time for some relaxing. We’ll show you more tomorrow.
Cheers
There’s only a few weeks to go and the excitement is building at Marten HQ. Las Vegas CES 2013 is just around the corner. (Oh, and there’s Christmas too).
We’re launching two new models at the CES – Django L and Coltrane Tenor.
Yes, that’s right – Django L is here! Following in response to last year’s success, Django XL, we had to build this. We’re really happy with the result. In fact it’s exceeded our expectations. This one is 2-way, with bass units from Norwegian SEAS and tweeter from Accuton.
We’re really proud of Coltrane Tenor too. It has newly designed bass units and we think it sounds great.
We had a sneak preview in our hometown of Gothenburg as we talked about in our previous post, but the world premiere will be at the CES. We hope you can visit us in Las Vegas, but if not, just follow all the action here.
We’ll be right back with even more stuff.
This snowy Saturday we had a little preview party inGothenburg. Quite a good few people came around in spite of the weather and had a listen to our new stuff. We will come back soon with more info on this but in the mean time you may have a look at the photos below and see if you can spot anything out of the ordinary:)
See you in the next few days.
We all had a lot of fun yesterday at Marten Centre. Loads of audiophiles and other nerds 🙂 came for a party at our centre in Gothenburg. There’s a really cool show in town called ‘Gothenburg Audio Visual 2012‘. We are actually part of the show but on our own premises.
Our newly refreshed big listening room was packed all night. Leif played music on the Coltrane Momentos. This is the whole set up:
Loudspeakers: Marten Coltrane Momento
Power amp: Marten M.Amp
Pre amp: Marten M.Pre (prototype, more news about this coming soon)
DAC/Transport: MSB Diamond DAC and Signature Data CD transport
Record player: Bergmann Sleipner
Pickup: Ortofon MC Anna
Phono pre: Whest Audio MC Ref V MK IV
Cables: Jorma Design Prime
Aucoustics: Svanå Miljöteknik
It sounded awesome!
In the shop we played music on the Django XL with Townshend Rock 7 record player alternating with Bergmann Magne record player and Bladelius media player with NAT electronics.
Great music filled fun all night:)
If you are in town, please come for a visit between 12 – 4pm tomorrow.
We are participating at the brilliant Hong Kong HiFi Show this year together with our distributors in Hong Kong; Ronnie & Danny. It will be a lot of fun and you are more than welcome to come and see us. We’re in room: X03. If you’re in the area, please come for a visit.
For anyone in the Kuala Lumpur area, please have a visit to the ‘KL International AV show 2012′. It goes on from this Friday 20/7 to Sunday 22/7. Our awesome distributor Mr Koo from Swedish Statement in Malaysia will exhibit our Heritage Bird 2 and Django XL in the Starhill 4 function room.
It’s all over now but we still have some stuff to show. We finally managed to find some time to have a look at this HUGE show.
We have featured these guys before but they are so cool that we had to stay for a listen again. Gigantic antique restored theatre and cinema speakers from Silbatone Acoustics. Very impressive.
