for us that is. Michael Valentine, the avid hifi enthusiast and of course famous underwater photographer has written a great review of our Coltrane Momentos. He has been working on films such as The Da Vinci Code and The Bourne Supremacy and has now created this very interesting read. Please have a look by clicking here.
Below is a photo from the review of the Coltrane Momentos in the making.

See you soon
Lars

Please drop by Montegiro´s both in Halle 4, Stand 15 and pay us a visit at the M.O.C. convention centre in Munich. We will be there Thursday until Saturday, we are not exhibiting at the sideshow Hifi Deluxe this year.
You can also listen to our new model Getz at the Atrium 4, room F114 together with DaVinci audiolabes and Orpheus electronics.
Do you want to schedule an appointment with us? Please send us an email.
We hope to see you in Munich!

Last weekend we had a visit all the way from Taiwan to Marten Centre in Gothenburg. Besides Leif in the picture there is Leo Yeh who runs a very ambitious online magazine called My-hiend.com as well as his girlfriend Carrie who works at the Taiwanese embassy in Copenhagen, Denmark. This couple spent a couple of days in Sweden visiting us and some other manufacturers. You can follow the whole thing here>>
Many thanks for the visit!

We found these illustrations of Jazz legends on the inspirational blog ‘The best Part‘ and loved them. They are drawn by very talented Ian Johnson. Lovely strong colours and fine geometrical lines mixed with realistic facial drawings.

“The Marten Dukes are just plain amazing”
A big thank you to Robert H. Levi at Positive Feedback for this brilliant review of the Dukes. Please have a read here.
Is this a view from the moon?
Yesterday I was with some friends, at the excellent jazz-club Nefertiti in Gothenburg, to see and hear the fantastic musician Richard Bona from Cameroon. He is a long time favourite of mine and I have heard him live several times before.
It was a great concert which had a wide variety of styles. He mixes jazz, funk, blues and African rythms in a very attractive and sometimes genius way. He is a real master of his instrument (bass), and his band was not bad either. Especially the drummer Obed Calvaire and the keyboard player Etienne Stadwijk.
He has released a new album called “The Ten Shades of Blues”. I have not heard the album yet but he played a few songs from it and it was very promising. The sound quality is usually very good on Bona´s records.
Thank you Richard Bona for a great concert.

Here I am in the lovely city Kaohsiung (second largest city after Taipei) in south of Taiwan. This is the 7th time in Taiwan for me, but only the second time in Kaohsiung. The first time was for a couple of chaotic hours 6 years ago, so it was nice to see more of this city and stay for a number of days.
