Our beloved Duke 2 just received a great award at the Australian Sound+Image Awards 2016.
Duke 2 is Highly Commended.
Marten Heritage Duke 2
Swedish loudspeaker company Marten delivers understated beauty and solid engineering in the Duke 2, the entry point of the mid-level Heritage range. it’s an elegant mid-sized sharp-angled standmount dressed in an oh-so classy gloss veneer, standing 40cm high and priced at $11,290 in matte finishes, $11,890 in gloss, so you might guess they feature ingredients that take them beyond your run-of-the mill standmounter.
They boast high quality Accuton drivers — a 25mm ceramic tweeter and a 7-inch ceramic mid/bass driver, which combine to deliver a transient-fast and detailed sound – fast fingers on steel guitar strings showed what these drivers can do best.
There’s an ultra-clean handling oftransients and a delivery of profound levels of detail that can become addictive. The bass register proved rich and surprisingly ample, attacking quite powerfully on both acoustic and electric lines. This is a small speaker that’s huge on quality.

The Duke 2 is a highly refined transducer with a consistent set of satisfying qualities across important performance criteria, namely, detail, transient speed, soundstage and tonality. Audio performance is high and given the form factor and the choice of veneers and finishes, it will suit any appropriately-sized environment, be it classic or contemporary.
Thank you to brand new Australian audio magazine Audio Esoterica, for such a great review.

the Marten Coltrane Supreme 2´s real success will not be measured in sales, but in the influence in exerts over the Marten range, and – in a wider perspective – the whole high-end loudspeaker market. It´s that important!
There’s a great article in the HiFi+ Loudspeaker Special, Issue no 123 of the UK magazine. Written by former editor in chief Roy Gregory and current editor in chief Alan Sircom. It’s all about our company and especially Coltrane Supreme 2.

We just had a excellent review for Django L in Chinese hifi magazine Hi-Fi & Hi-Vi Monthly. They dubbed our loudspeaker ”Best Value 2015”.
If you are a fan of jazz, rock or pop, it is strongly recommended that you listen to Django L, to personally feel that vibrant, full of life music and the dynamic appeal of it.
Thank you very much.

The Miles 5 is presumably the most live-sounding speaker in this size! …and price range!
We just received a copy of German HiFi magazine StereoPlay 07/2014. The conclusion goes something like this:
The Miles 5 perfectly succeeds in creating unity. This is one of the nicest, most supreme, two-way loudspeaker in the absolute top class.

We were always fascinated by the simplicity of the 2-way speakers, but never encountered such a solid build that so resolutely manages to bring 2-way audio to new heights.
Great review by Mats Meyer-Lie on Django L in Swedish HiFi & Musik. Here is the conclusion in english:
Django L can certainly produce bass, so deep that the room rattles and makes you gasp for breath. Django L is therefore one of the most versatile speakers we have heard in a long time. As comfortable with dubstep or hard rock as with acoustic jazz or frail chamber music.
I constantly found myself moved by the music instead of analysing the sound. Exactly what we all want really. A real magnificent, large scale speaker that everyone totally falls for.
Sure, they cost a pretty penny but it is a unusually victorious and well made creation, except for the german units, entirely Made In Sweden.

I was so amazed by the sound of the Marten Coltrane Supreme 2, that I totally forgot to even check what other equipment was in the room.
