and our room is so packed we can hardly get in ourselves:)
We are held hostage by the sound in our room! We simply can’t tear ourself from listening to more and more music:) The MSB Analog DAC and S201 amplifier + data transport sound amazing with our Django L. Come visit us if you’re around. We’re in the ‘Grundström’ room at Lundqvist & Lindqvist‘s showrooms at Stockholm High End 2013.
Jörgen had a great time in Bangkok a couple of weeks ago. The Django XLs sounded great in Elpa Shaw’s room. Kabkoon krup!
Here’s last years success Django XL in suite 29-121, The Antelope Audio Room. They sound wicked with this rather complex setup.
In the middle there’s a sort of retro-futuristic rack that contains an Orion 32 audio master clock, a Zodiac Gold 10M Master clock, Kaplan cable connections, Bully Sound Company BSC 60s Power amplifier, Music Vault Diamond, EAR 834-P Phono Preamp. It sounds as good as it looks cool.
We’re so happy with our latest model, Django L that we want to give it away.
So we’ve created a simple competition, though you’ll need to know a little about us, and Sweden.

There’s only a few weeks to go and the excitement is building at Marten HQ. Las Vegas CES 2013 is just around the corner. (Oh, and there’s Christmas too).
We’re launching two new models at the CES – Django L and Coltrane Tenor.
Yes, that’s right – Django L is here! Following in response to last year’s success, Django XL, we had to build this. We’re really happy with the result. In fact it’s exceeded our expectations. This one is 2-way, with bass units from Norwegian SEAS and tweeter from Accuton.
We’re really proud of Coltrane Tenor too. It has newly designed bass units and we think it sounds great.
We had a sneak preview in our hometown of Gothenburg as we talked about in our previous post, but the world premiere will be at the CES. We hope you can visit us in Las Vegas, but if not, just follow all the action here.
We’ll be right back with even more stuff.
Many thanks to Sven Bilen at Swedish Ljud&Bild for a brilliant test of our Django XL.
It sounds amazingly right with a very large soundstage and both body and soul.
Six out of six stars, not bad eh? 🙂
Marten’s Django XL gave me the best sound I have ever heard in my room. Highly recommended.
Massive thanks again to Erick Lichte for a great review.
Please download and read here (pdf 5.7mb).
We all had a lot of fun yesterday at Marten Centre. Loads of audiophiles and other nerds 🙂 came for a party at our centre in Gothenburg. There’s a really cool show in town called ‘Gothenburg Audio Visual 2012‘. We are actually part of the show but on our own premises.
Our newly refreshed big listening room was packed all night. Leif played music on the Coltrane Momentos. This is the whole set up:
Loudspeakers: Marten Coltrane Momento
Power amp: Marten M.Amp
Pre amp: Marten M.Pre (prototype, more news about this coming soon)
DAC/Transport: MSB Diamond DAC and Signature Data CD transport
Record player: Bergmann Sleipner
Pickup: Ortofon MC Anna
Phono pre: Whest Audio MC Ref V MK IV
Cables: Jorma Design Prime
Aucoustics: Svanå Miljöteknik
It sounded awesome!
In the shop we played music on the Django XL with Townshend Rock 7 record player alternating with Bergmann Magne record player and Bladelius media player with NAT electronics.
Great music filled fun all night:)
If you are in town, please come for a visit between 12 – 4pm tomorrow.
Yet another great review of Django XL in the Taiwanese audio magazine Audio Art. We had a bit translated and one of the sentences went something like “We can’t even imagine a competitor to Marten Django XL”
If you understand the language, you can download a pdf of the review here.
Thank you very much:)
