Is this a view from the moon?
It’s actually a picture taken with an electron microscope (magnified a thousand times).
All of these photos are of a vinyl album, unfortunately we don’t know which. The photographer Chris Supranowitz is a researcher at the Institute of Optics, Rochester University, specialising in this type of photography.
