If you’ve spent any time browsing high end audio coverage from anywhere, chances are you’ve come across Leo Yeh. Based in Taiwan, Leo is a passionate audiophile and the founder of MY-HiEND, a site dedicated to audio news, show coverage, and product reviews.
He documents his travels to the world’s most important hi-fi shows, capturing systems and setups with a meticulous eye and sharing his experiences with fellow enthusiasts.
We caught up with Leo for a quick interview to find out more about his love for music, audio, and his long-standing connection to Marten.

What is your earliest memory of listening to music?
“When I was in junior high school, I started to love listening to Chinese pop music on a cassette player.”
How long have you been interested in high end audio?
“I am 48 now. I have been interested in high end audio since I was very young. I remember when I was 15, my father took me to the Taipei HiEnd Show. I was so impressed by the music from the HiFi system.”
When did you buy your first Marten speaker?
“I am not sure, but it was the year when the Django XL was released, maybe 2012.”
You’re right, it was 2012. What qualities of Django XL do you appreciate?
“Best price/performance choice for this price range. But to own a pair of Coltrane is always my dream.”
What components are in your current system?
“Marten Django XL speakers with Esoteric amp and SACD player, Auralic for streaming.”
What is your dream audio set-up?
“This one is not easy. As an audiophile, I want them all.”
Where are your favourite shows?
“Munich, Warsaw, Taipei, Oslo, Tokyo…”
Is there anything you want to share about Marten products?
“I know Leif, Jörgen and Lars for many years. They are very good people and create one of the best loudspeakers in the world. It’s always an audiophile’s dream to have a pair of Marten loudspeakers. Elegant and beautiful design with amazing sound. Bring the music and joy to your life.”
Are there any genres of music or tracks that you prefer to listen to?
“All kinds of music, jazz, pop, and classical, if they are good quality recordings. Lots of tracks and updated frequently. Sorry, it’s difficult to provide only a few specific tracks. If you have a Tidal account, you can search Leo Yeh for my playlist.”
What advice would you give to audiophiles that are starting out?
“Always listen in person, believe in yourself, and follow your instincts. Try to go to concerts, gigs, enjoy live music. It can lead you in the right direction to appreciate good sound.”
