Here’s a big no-surprise: Dan Meinwald’s room was sounding superb, as always.

Almost first in today was Adrian Bankewitz from Accuton with family.

He played such a cool record with Chinese drums. Really loud and rumbly, in a good way of course, it sounded awesome. He Xun Tian, is the artist, very famous in China.

Leif finally had a spare moment to take me around a bit of the fair which was really cool.

Ok, there has been a lot of Swedish stuff today. It sort of feels like the Eurovision song contest when everyone are voting for their neighbouring countries. We’ll try and be more cosmopolitan tomorrow:)

What a great place Munich is. Walking around in this beautiful city in the spring weather is a real treat. Popping into a bierhalle for a drink here and there makes it all even better:)

The High End fair is exactly how you would expect it to be in Germany, neat, tidy and well organised with a lot of space for everyone. We had our room set up and ready yesterday evening and it’s actually sounding pretty darn good if we may say that ourselves.

Unfortunately I had a little memory mishap and forgot my Canon 50D that I usually use for all the blog photos but luckily, Leif’s little handy Olympus F1.8 takes great pictures so that is what we’ll be using for this show.

The Coltrane 2, M•Amp and M•Furniture set up with Jorma Design’s brand new cables, Unity. We also use SMT’s lovely looking diffusors that we had in our room at CES 2011 in Las Vegas.

The FormFloors, the FromSub and Bladelius Tyr, playing audio from a MacBook Air also makes for a pretty neat second set up.

Even if the room is quite large we actually filled it most of this rather busy day. Tomorrow the show will open for non-audio business people so maybe it will be even busier.

We are very happy to participate with our latest models at Europe’s biggest High End Audio trade fair in Munich this year. High End has been going since 1983 which is pretty old in Audio circuits. We will exhibit Coltrane 2 and our own Mono Power Amplifier M•Amp as well as Jorma Design cables and Svanå Miljöteknink Diffusors. It would be great if you came to visit us in room Atrium 4 2.OG E214, we’ll be there  from May 19 – 22.

We have a brand new distributor in Bangkok – Thailand, the home of beautiful silk, delicious green curry and long sandy beaches.

Unfortunately we were not able to go to the very exclusive ‘BAV Hi-End show 2011′ in Bangkok where they exhibited. We don’t want to brag:) but we heard that our speakers were very well received and apparently some customers even suggested that they were ‘best in show ‘.

A massive thank you to all of you, from all of us here at Marten.

We received a lot of attention for our brilliant diffusors from Svanå Miljöteknik in Sweden.

Apparently there's a famous building in the background but we keep the focus on more important things:)

These diffusors are the nicest looking ones that I have ever seen. They are normally rather colossal with the WAF factor on a bare minimum.

We had them towering around our whole listening area and they really helped compensating for the fact that the space was rather small.

The layered clear acrylic made for a sheer, delicate look and participated in creating a clean sound. They also come in other finishes such as veneered mdf.

Here they are together with our latest loudspeaker, the mighty Coltrane 2.

As I walked one floor down from us I happened to glance down the stairs… let’s just say that I had no idea that vertigo could be that bad. I forgot all about it when I entered Engström & Engström‘s room though.

The aesthetics of their new tube amplifier The Lars Type 2 is so beautiful, as is the sound.

It sounded really good with Coltrane 2 with walnut fronts.

Then I took a stroll through the corridors of the Venetian to the E.A.R. room and had a listen to Dj Dan, our distributor in the States who plays a really eclectic mix of music. Not the normal HiFi Show stuff which is very refreshing. Next year, we will get a playlist from him prepared ahead if only we can remember to ask him.

It all sounded very good on the Getz loudspeakers together with E.A.R. cd player and amplifiers.

The Getz loudspeakers played very well in Harmonic Tech’s room as well. All with Harmonic Tech’s own great cables and electronics.

One of the favourites in our room, quite suitable for Vegas we think:)
